What is a Fargo Hunt?

Our hunts are interactive experiences that will have you working together to decipher clues, solve puzzles, complete tasks, and discover new things.

How do we play?

The city is your game board! Each game has specified boundaries to help guide your hunt. Solving the riddles will take you to various locations within the boundaries where you may earn points for solving the clue, receive more clues, or work to complete a puzzle or task.

How are Fargo Hunts scored?

Your team is awarded points for each riddle that is solved or task that is completed. Fewer points are earned when hints are used. All leaderboards can be viewed on our website.

Who can play a Fargo Hunt?

Games are designed with groups of up to 4 adults (1-4 👥) in mind; however your team may be larger or smaller. It is recommended that groups larger than 4 divide into two smaller groups and compete against each other, giving the first team a head start to avoid congestion on the course.

What do we need to be able to play?

Games operate primarily using our website along with information discovered throughout the hunt. Therefore your group will need access to a smartphone. Simply opening our website in your phone's web browser will allow you to play the game without any additional app downloads. Only one person in your group needs to manage the smartphone.

How do we get around?

In the description for each hunt, you will see an emoji that indicates if the hunt is designed as a walking (👣) or driving (🚗) hunt. The distances covered in driving hunts are usually too large to be covered on foot. Total distance covered in a walking hunt is typically not more than a mile and a half with many stops along the route. Stops on a walking hunt are typically a couple blocks apart. Driving between stops on a walking hunt may result in less of a quality experience overall.
